SoLuna

Sunny Days and Moonlit Nights

Acoustic folk-rock and singer-songwriter favorites in an intimate setting. Perfect for an evening under the stars.

About the Band

SoLuna was spun off from South on Linden by Trish, Lisa, and Lenny. They wanted to play a more eclectic range of songs that didn’t always fit into the more narrowly focused rock and soul, dance oriented songs that SOL plays. They started as a trio and have since added drummer and vocalist, Michael Dolin. Their songs range from country and acoustic rock to classic rock and pop. If they like it, they play it. Their music is popular for sit down, listening environments such as evening cocktail and dining events, wineries, breweries, private parties, summer concerts, etc… And yes, dancing can occur!

What's in a name?

Meet Maggie and Luna. Coming up with a band name is hard. We struggled to come up with a name that would match the eclectic range of our music. Trish loved Lenny and Lisa’s dogs, Luna and Maggie, who often sat in on (more like laid down in) our rehearsals. One of the band names that was brainstormed was LunaMaggie. That didn’t really make the cut but we thought of SoLuna as an interesting alternative. SOL is the acronym for South on Linden. Our eclectic mix of songs ranges from the sun (sol) to the moon (luna). And, we So loved our canine companion and #1 fan, Luna. And so, SoLuna we are.
